Not every jewellery journey begins with joy

This one began with anger, heartbreak, and loss. My clients came to me after a home invasion. Many cherished and deeply sentimental pieces had been stolen, jewellery passed down from great-grandparents, each piece carrying love, history, and memory. As part of their insurance claim, they were referred to me, understandably upset and grieving far more than the value of what was taken.

Before any design began, we built trust

Together, we chose not to try to replace everything that was lost, but instead to create one meaningful piece. The result was a classic ruby and diamond bracelet, designed with care, intention, and emotion woven into every decision. When she collected it, she held it to her chest and softly said,
“This would make a beautiful necklace.” Twelve months later, I designed her engagement ring, followed by their wedding rings. On her wedding day, her husband surprised her with a gold necklace set with one diamond and two rubies, echoing the bracelet’s design.

Each anniversary after that, we added one ruby and one diamond

Thirty years later, the necklace is now complete. What began as an insurance claim became a living record of love, resilience, and shared life. A single design, evolving through marriage, children, milestones, and time. If you’re holding jewellery tied to loss or change, it may still have a future waiting to be designed.
