From Negative Attachment to Strength and Promise: A Power Ring Story

Some jewellery carries weight we’re not ready to hold. This client came to me wanting to sell her diamond jewellery from a past relationship, including her original bridal set. The diamonds were beautiful and of high quality, but the emotional attachment was heavy. The pieces represented a chapter filled with disappointment and grief, not something she wanted to revisit. Year after year, she returned with the same intention to sell. Yet each time, the reality was the same. Selling them would never reflect their true worth, financially or emotionally. Over ten years, I watched her transform. She navigated deep personal grief, raised her children as a single mum, and built a life on her own terms. She became stronger, more confident, and deeply grounded in who she was. Somewhere along that journey, the meaning of those diamonds shifted.

They no longer belonged to the past.
They belonged to her

Together, we redesigned every diamond from the original bridal set and all the old gold into one bold power ring. A ring that deliberately transferred the negative attachment of the past into something new. A symbol of strength, self-worth, and promise to herself. Today, she wears that ring with pride.
Not as a reminder of what didn’t last, but as proof of resilience, growth, and the woman she chose to become. Sometimes redesigning jewellery isn’t about erasing the past.
It’s about transforming it.
If you have jewellery tied to a past relationship and you’re ready to change its meaning, I’d love to help you reshape that story into one of strength and promise.

As part of their insurance claim, they were referred to me, understandably…
